Like every year....Dosa organized a grand picnic on the 14th February '09... at Fantasy Kingdom. The ticket was priced 300 Tk. per person. DJ party and Concerts were also there to make the picnic more enjoyable with the essence of the Valentines day !

Division of Students Affairs (DoSA) and Student Council of the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized Pitha Uthsab (cake festival) on January 21, 2009 at IUB campus 1, Baridhara. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof M Omar Rahman attended the function and thanked the organizers for the festival. Members of the IUB faculty and Management, Students and a good number of inhabitants of Baridhara attended the Uthsab.
